Hidden Treasure

Hello loves! Monday already? Where does the time go? We spent our weekend in Orlando visiting friends, so it's always hard to return from the land of the magical Mouse (hint, his name may or may not rhyme with Nikki!). It was nice to get out of town for a bit and just enjoy the nice mind clearing effect that has. Staying in a hotel shaped like a castle didn't hurt either…. :)

So while it was pretty difficult to come back from a great weekend, at least I have an awesome pretty to help shoulder some of the burden!

This polish started with TKB Luster Base and was then followed up with 2 small scoops TKB EZB College Blue powder pigment (a mid toned borderline neon blue), 4 drops Vanti 805's Violet #2 Breeze Color base liquid colorant, one small scoop Glitter Unique Gold Flakies, and finally, 2-4 drops Spectraflair4u size 14 Spectrflair in base. What I made was a dusty blurple linear holo with gold flakies. I called this one, Hidden Treasure!

Light box…. and flakies!

I believe swatches show 3 coats plus top coat. Formula was easily spread with some very minor drag issues if I didn't watch what I was doing. But, it wasn't enough to really bug me. The flakies were wicked apparent and almost gave the polish a somewhat gemstone look to them. But overall, the polish reminded me of gold doubloons shining in the crystal blue Caribbean waters (you can totally picture it can't you??). There was no problem with self leveling. However, due to the semi neon nature of the powder pigment, the polish did dry a bit dull.

Well that's all for Hidden Treasure! I've posted two blue polishes in a row, so we'll see what I can do about changing that up for the next franken. Hope you all have a wonderful day and until next time, remember to keep it classy and creative!

xo
