Meme Week Nail Art Challenge Day 3 - U Jelly?

Whooooooa, so weird to be posting on a Tuesday. I never post on Tuesdays! Haha, but nevertheless, I hope everyone's day is going well! I was definitely all rage face yesterday, it was a lonnnnnng Monday! Anywho, the theme for today's meme challenge is U Jelly? which alot of people associate with the trolling meme. That would be this looker right here:

And since I find him entirely too ugly to use in any kind of nail art, he will be disregarded. I decided to go the more literal route and create a simple jelly ombre gradient mani. The two frankens made today were used to fit the spaces in between the other players in this mani, L'oreal Berry Nice (a deep blue toned purple jelly) and L'oreal Miss Pixie (a gorgeous vibrant royal blue jelly). The first franken I made which was going to fit between Miss Pixie and Berry Nice on the spectrum was made from TKB Glamour base, TKB Basic Blue Jelly, Wonder Beauty Products Primary Red Color Base, and L'oreal Berry Nice which created a nice darker blurple jelly. This worked perfectly to transition between the blue and the purple L'oreal jellies. The second franken I made was to go AFTER the nail that wore Berry Nice so it had to be darker in order to keep with the ombre effect. That polish was made by using TKB Glamour Base, Wonder Beauty Products Primary Red Color Base, TKB Basic Blue Jelly, and Milani Black Magic Black Cream Polish. What was ultimately created was a darkened purple jelly with blue undertones. When all four were put together, it made a pretty sweet blue to purple ombre jelly mani, check it out!

I was pretty pleased with how this turned out but thought it was way too plain for my taste. So I jazzed it up by doing a glitter gradient jelly sandwich using China Glaze Glitter All the Way and topping each nail with one last coat of the corresponding jelly polish. I love the result!

So there you have it, today's jelly mani incorporating a few simple frankens from yours truly! Looking forward to tomorrow's theme which is cats! Now we all know I'm a dog person but it gave me a chance to try and flex my nail art muscles so I don't mind! Don't forget to check out the other ladies in the challenge to see what they create!
