Food for Thought: Solvent Testing

Hey ladies, just a super quick word. I will be posting a new franken later today. But I was talking in a FB group regarding frankenig (it's called Franken 101 if you're interested!) and I spoke to someone who clarified a few issues regarding solvent testing:

* Solvent testing is not necessarily for bleeding and curling but rather to test that a glitter will not melt into a given nail polish suspension base.
* It is smart to test your own glitters in whatever base you are using as the glitters may react differently from base to base (i.e. may bleed or curl in some bases and not others)
* Curling is something that happens with metallic glitters not mattes and the time it
takes to reflect curling will vary (sometimes upwards of a few months)
* Bleeding can be an issue with any kind of issue and particularly neons due to the vibrant coloring

So long story short my loves, please be sure to test your glitters and polish additives independently. Hope you keep this in mind with your new creations!

See you next time, and remember to always keep it classy and creative!

xo
