Blurple Nurple

Hello my dear loves. Happy hump day (Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike! What day is it??) I hope everyone's week has been treating them well so far! If not,

Teehee. So today's franken is somewhat familiar to a previous franken I've done...but better. I wanted to make a nice blurple polish. Those of you not familiar, blurple is a color somewhere between blue and purple. I started out with about 3/4 of a mini bottle of TKB Luster Base. I then added small equal scoops of TKB Grape Parfait Pigment (a powdered blue toned purple Mica with a sheen), Amethyst Pigment (A true purple Mica with sheen), and True Blue (a medium toned blue Mica with a low sheen). I rounded it all out with a scoop of TKB Luminosity Glitter for a very scattered holo effect. What was created was a low sheened blurple with scattered holo goodness. I called it Blurple Nurple because I'm punny like that

Blurry but this one is more true to color. Plus it shows the holo bits!

The low sheen helps keep the polish from getting frosty

Betcha didn't expect my white skin to blind you like that! Kapow!!

Swatches show two effortless coats. The polish is definitely more purple toned in real life but my camera was having none of that on swatch day. The polish was not streaky and self leveled like a champ. I think I may have an ongoing love affair with the blurple... save for it's ridiculous name (It's ridiculous in the same way Brangelina and Kimye are ridiculous. Come on now :) )

So that's all for today my kiddies! I shall see you back on Friday along with an announcement on what to expect in the coming weeks. Get excited! But until next time, remember to keep it classy and creative!
