The Mani That Changed My Life Featuring Smitten Polish You Saucy Minx

Is that title dramatic enough? Don't worry, I wont' go all spanish telenovela on you and I really am being kind of dramatic. But I do have some awesome news to share with you in a few! But first, let's start with the polish shall we? I was going through Facebook one day (undoubtedly putting off something  way more important that I should have been doing) and I came across swatch photos of Smitten Polish's Love Actually Collection from The Crumpet  and my little heart grew three sizes that day. I was completely and utterly taken with You Saucy Minx and A Wedding Dress That Isn't Bright Turquoise. A couple of restock stalkings later, and those puppies were mine. I have You Saucy Minx to show you today!

Smitten describes this polish as a

Bright blurple base packed with sparkly pigment that shifts from a coppery red on through to green. Opaque in three coats, or can be layered over another polish.

That's pretty dead on. Formula is buttery smooth and thick in an AWESOME WAY while being packed with color shifting sparkle. The following swatches are one coat of OPI Nail Envy, one coat of Butter London Giddy Kipper (which is a cream with a very similar base color but is a tad dustier), one coat of You Saucy Minx, and one coat of Glisten & Glow fast dry top coat.

So.Much.Awesome.

Those strategically placed bottles in the background were completely accidental. Great color shift photo though!

Now, onto the life changer. My boyfriend and I decided to meet up with another couple for dinner at a local Italian joint we have in town and the next thing I know, he's on his knee with THIS

Oh yes, it totally happened. I was completely surprised, then started laughing, before finally turning into a blubbering mess. We also had friends who were able to join us via Face Time so it was a group affair :) No wedding planning yet, I'm just going to enjoy the feeling for awhile. Now, can you see why this polish holds such a special place in my heart?

Well that's all for today my loves! See you back next time for another indie polish swatchfest! But until then, remember to keep it classy any creative!

xo

  1. This really is a beautiful polish, and it will be one of those you'll always keep even when the bottle is all crusty and stuff (what I'll do with my wedding polish). :P Congratulations again, and the ring is lovely! :P Your honey has good taste all the way around. ;)

    1. Thank you! It is gorgeous. I am seriously considering just going ahead and ordering a back up because I'm all sentimental about it. Funny thing is, this was the first time I used this polish too so there is pretty much no dent made in the bottle, lol. Don't you worry, I remind my Mr. that he has good tase all the time ;^)

  3. WONDERFUL ♥♥♥ It is indeed a beautiful polish (it's got a Fantasy Fire-esque shift to it) and how perfectly appropriate that you were wearing it on this night! Your ring is gorgeous. I'm so happy for you, Becca! MANY congratulations!!

    1. Spot on! It definitely has a shift similar to Fantasy Fire! Seeing as that I am quite the saucy minx, I do find it appropriate. I also know that I am also modest :) Thank you so much for your kind words Liesl!
