Black Dahlia

Hello my loves! You know,  for as long as my days feel, my week is flying by. Hopefully your week is going well! I am totally in love with the polish I made for you today, so much so, that I might actually wear this one again *le gasp!

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, Black Dahlia

Full sun

Lightbox

…. so much *sniff

I made this polish by starting off with TKB Glamour base. I then added multiple drops of TKB Black Nail Polish Colorant (I lost count so I suggest doing a couple drops at a time and checking opacity as you go), one medium scoop of TKB Marinda Star glass fleck (which shifts from gold to red to purple), and finally,  one and a half small scoops of holo powder that I bought in a group buy.

Nail macro from the lightbox with a little of the gold glass fleck shining through

Full sun swatch with a shot of my bed sheet and a towel (it's all about the ambience)

Light box swatch. You can see some of the purple glass fleck peeking through!

Rainbows!

Believe it or not, the polish is actually more linear and holo-y in person and the glass fleck added a subtle something extra! Swatches show two coats no top coat. Formula was buttery smooth and surprisingly, I didn't have any dragging issues (as some holos tend to have). Dry time was average to a smudge above average. But I don't care, I LOVE it :)

Well that's all for Black Dahlia, hopefully you are as enamored with it as I am! Hope to see you around next time! But until then, remember to keep it classy and creative!

xo
