Cabernet

Hello my loves! Hope everyone is having an awesome long weekend. Don't forget to thank a vet today! So, upon hearing the name of today's polish I'm sure you probably know what's up. But I have a confession, I am NOT a wine girl. I totally wish I could be one of those terribly interesting and at times ostentatious women swishing around public gatherings with a glass of vino in a crystal stemmed glass but I'm just not, and I can't. Outside of my nail polish/makeup world, I am a beer drinking, football watching, low maintenance type. Let me tell you, that makes for some occasional trips to the grocery store in which I'm rocking the hobo look. A hobo with an awesome manicure, but a hobo nonetheless. Cute right?

But I digress, you are not here to read about my propensity for wearing pajamas in public ;^) So how's about we move on to the polish shall we? I am particularly fond of this polish and it reminds me almost of a Drugstore Digits polish I've done this past go around (extra points if you can figure out which one!) Today's polish started off with about 3/4 of a mini bottle's worth of TKB Luster base. I then followed it up with (mostly) equal drops of Wet 'n' Wild Black Creme and Wonder Beauty Products Primary Red Color Base (I lost count when pouring so I say start at 3 drops of each and work your way up.) I then followed it up with one scoop of TKB Purple Sparks (somewhat larger particle shimmer) and one scoop of TKB Siren Red (medium particle sized glass fleck). Check out the swatch photos and see why I called it Cabernet!

Hel-lo vampy juicy macro goodness!

The formula was easy breezy; it did not drag, pool, or clump. While the bottle color does look remarkably purple, when swatched, the polish is much more red toned. I love that the shimmer is not immediately apparent but it adds a degree of unbelievable depth. I am a HUGE fan of this polish and I feel like it is SO seasonably appropriate. Swatches show three coats plus top coat. It did go on a bit sheer initially, but I had no trouble with building up the color.

Well that's all for today's polish, I hope you dig it. Remember, you can always drop me a line on my e-mail or Facebook page if you have a special request for a polish! I look forward to seeing you back next time for a new creation, public pajama wearing and all ;^) But until then, remember to keep it classy and creative!

 xo
