Blood Thirsty
Hellloooooo Franken babes! I am prescheduling this post because hopefully by this time Friday, I will be relaxing with the bridal party of the wedding I am attending and getting a pedi. I don't care how often you do your nails, it's hard not to appreciate a GOOD pedicure. Hopefully, when I get back, I will have an awesome mani to show you from the wedding too!
Anywho, I'm either a seriously creepy individual or continuing on in my Halloween themed polishes. Let's go with the latter shall we (muahaha!)? ;) I love Halloween and I think it's maybe just because it's the first holiday around time of year where I don't have to worry about sweating in weird and inappropriate places (behind my knee caps? Who DOES that?). Plus, I really really enjoy handing out candy to kids. Love their sweet little faces! But I digress, onto the polish!
Today's polish started with the standard 2/3 of a mini bottle's worth of TKB Luster base. Next, I added in about 2-3 drops of TKB Basic Red Jellie. I then added one scoop of matte peach .008 hexes from Glitter Unique. I topped the polish off with one good sized scoop each of TKB's gold flakies and red flakes for some added depth!

Look! My hands are clean!
Swatches show three easy coats plus one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dry. Formula was super awesome and didn't drag or pool. It was mostly opaque and two coats but I added three to add a little more complexity to the polish. So let's be honest here, this polish is weird. Can anybody point me to a polish similar to this one? I'm not sure entirely what I thought this would end up as, but I certainly don't hate it. What do you guys think?
Well that's all for today's polish! Have a wonderful weekend and see you back on Monday for a brand new creation!

Monster Mayhem
Hello my dears! Everybody having a productive week so far? We are gearing up to head to a friend's wedding this weekend! I even made a special franken for it, but that's another polish for another day!
Anywho, I decided to get more into the Halloween spirit and I think you can see it in this weeks franken!
Anywho, I decided to get more into the Halloween spirit and I think you can see it in this weeks franken!
As always, I started off with 2/3 of a mini bottle of TKB Luster Base. I then added about 3 ish drops of matte white base color to get a nice creamy base. I then added one small scoop each of Purple and Green Sparks! to help take some of the starkness from the white. I then added 2 scoops of matte black rectangles .032x.063 from Glitter Unique, one scoop of pastel green .040 hexes from You Mix Glitters, and two scoops of .062 matte purple hexes from Nail Glitter Princess. I think the end result is definitely Halloween but not so much that you can't wear it year round. Check it out!
Why do my hands keep looking dirty?!?! Auugh!
Swatches show three coats and quick dry top coat; no undies. I definitely like the idea of this polish but I definitely think it could benefit from a bit more glitter in the base. However, I do love how the glitter mixes with the shimmer without looking like white out. Glitters needed minimal placement. What do you guys think? What would you change if you could?
Well that's all for today my loves! See you back on Friday for more awesome in the form of lacquer! But until then, remember to keep it classy and creative!

Green Machine
Hey girl hey! Hope everyone is up and at em on this Monday morning! I get to have a 4 day week this week so it's really actually Tuesday for me! I'm looking forward to a shorter week to change up the monotony of what my work weeks seem to be lately. Those of you still in school, STAY THERE. Growing up is tough!
So any who, I'm going to go ahead and out this out there. Don't hate me, but I made this polish awhile ago and don't remember exactly what went into it *blushy face* But I will tell you what I can remember so far! Per usual, I started out with 2/3 of a mini bottle's worth of TKB Glamour Base. I do remember putting one good sized scoop of Green Apple Mica (a yellow toned bright lime green with some sheen) and one scoop of Pennsylvania Green (a darker slightly yellow toned medium green with sheen); both from TKB. That's where my memory fails me. I think I added one more mica powder in there but I'll be dadgummed if I don't remember what it is. I'm sorry!

*Shrugs* Well, here are the swatches!
Broken corners will be the death of me!
Application was relatively easy and it went on smoothly. Swatches do have one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dry. While I do remember the formula being pretty decent, I will say that this is not my type of color. I may use it again for nail art though.
Well that's all for today my lovelies! See you back in a couple days for more frankens! But until then, remember to keep it classy and creative!

Midnight in Paris
Hello my lovelies! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week! I'm going to keep this post relatively short so let's jump into the polish shall we?
I started with about 2/3 of a mini bottle's worth of TKB's Glamour Base. I then added one small scoop of TKB Blue Sparks! to help give the base a little depth. Finally I added 2 good sized scoops of .035 blue-green iridescent squares and matte aqua stars from Glitter Unique. What I created was an iridescent glitter topper that comes alive over darker colors!
Check ou the different shades of blue from iridescent squares!
Why do my hands look dirty? That's embarrassing...
Swatches show two dabbled coats over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Blazing Blue and one thick coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dry top coat. This polish is a little work and did require some glitter placement but I think the end effect is totally worth it. It totally reminds me of a dreamy star filled scene. *Le sigh*
Well that's all for today! See you back on Monday for more franken creations! But until then, remember to keep it classy and creative!

Orange You Glad I Didn't Say Banana?
Hello my dears, we've made it halfway through another week. We are still waiting on more of a cool down here in good 'ol Florida. Tomorrow's high is near 90. Ugh.
Just kidding, it's not THAT hot. But it's still totally warm. Anywho, today I bring you another color shifting polish but this one has a little more oomph! I started with about 2/3 of a bottle's worth of TKB Glamour base. I then followed it up with 2 good scoops of Misfits on 8th color shifting orange to yellow pigment. Finally, I added one scoop of Misfits on 8th gold flecks, TKB Red Sparks!, and TKB Copper Sparks! (which are all a larger particle shimmer). After seeing these swatches, take a wild guess as to why I named it Orange You Glad I Didn't Say Banana?

Cold Color
Color shift after I randomly stuck my hand on something in our freezer
Thought this was a cool shot showing the shimmer
Cold water droplets
As you can see, the color is a bright golden yellow when warm and it shifts to a vibrant warm orange when cold. If you are blessed enough to have long nails, I'd imagine you'd get a pretty wicked almost candy corn looking gradient. Swatches show three medium coats and one coat of top coat. Formula was a little sheer at first but built up nicely. There was no dragging or pooling. like this polish alot, I think it is usable during the changing of the seasons given the color scheme. What do you guys think?
Well, that's all for today my loves. See you back on Friday for more Franken Femme creations! But until then, remember to keep it classy and creative!
