Review- I Love Nail Polish Birefringence

Hello my dears and welcome to the start of what I hope to be a super productive week! Hope everyone is ready to be up and at em. I got myself some Pumpkin Pie Spice creamer recently so chances are that is largely the reason I am even mildly presentable on this Monday.

So, I'm sure by now that you have heard all the buzz around the ILNP Ultra Chromes; and with good reason too. Today I have the absolutely dazzling (not stunning, dazzling ;) ) Birefringence. ILNP describes this as a polish that shifts through an array blues, purples, reds, oranges, yellows, and even subtle greens! Does it live up to it's claims? Let's find out!

First things first, let's start off with the packaging. I was seriously impressed with the packaging. Every detail was clearly planned out down to the box the polish was mailed to me in. Awesome.

Now onto the money shots

Acvredinbwrijkbnqlrihnprh, I can't even handle the awesome! The color shift was very very apparent in real life so please make sure to not stare at your nails while driving, no matter how tempting (and it WILL be tempting). Swatches show two easy coats over a dark base and one coat of quick dry top coat. ILNP did say that these polishes were formulated not to need a dark base but I guess old habits die hard for me and I just couldn't bear to not use a dark base. I had some minor issues with dragging but I attribute that more to my ADD polishing skills rather than formulation faux pas.

Well that's all for today, be sure to check out I Love Nail Polish's website and Facebook page! Don't forget to enter my giveaway, it's the last day! See you back here on Wednesday for a brand new franken! But until then, remember to keep it classy and creative!

* this polish was not provided for review and was purchased using my own money

  1. This is st-...er, uh...STELLAR!! :D That is one major chameleon of a polish. Looks great on you, too, which is always an added bonus. What is it about duo/multichromes?? I'm wearing a duochrome right now and have been wiggling my fingers around like an idiot.
