Anywho, I am especially excited about today's franken because it was the one thing I envisioned that turned out EXACTLY how I'd hoped! Check out the sneak peek
Oooooooh yeah!
This polish started out with about 3/4 of a mini bottle's worth of TKB Glamour Base. I then added about 4-6 drops of gloss black colorant (this is very thick and very opaque so I thinned my colorant down with nail polish thinner until it was a nice viscous consistency). Next, I added 2 small scoops of TKB Travel to Mercury powder pigment (which TKB describes as a reddish coppery color which shifts from warm bronze to an almost greenish gold). Finally I added two small scoops of Wonder Beauty Products Prismatic Platinum Illusion Powder. What I created was an AWESOME multichrome polish with gorgeous linear holo.
Swatches show two coats over a basic blackened purple base. I had no issues with the formula and dry time was pretty average. It dried down to a smooth finish but I did topcoat it to try and extend the life of the mani.
However, I did save the best photos for last. Check THIS out
Contrary to what my camera would have you believe, the linear holo is VERY apparent in real life. Also, thanks to Melissa at Lacquer Reverie, I was able to add in a gratuitous, out of focus food shot. I definitely took this picture while I was at work and I tried to hid the fact that I was taking a picture with an apple, lol. Well that's all for today my loves! See you back on Friday for more franken awesomeness! But until then, remember to keep it classy and creative!
